Hornaday photograph collection consists of photographs that were taken by William T. Hornaday, then major of infantry, while assigned to Special Forces Detachment #12 (an OSS unit) attached to G3 Section, 12th Army Group Headquarters, European Theater of Operations (ETO). The photos were all taken between 29 July 1944 and 13 September 1944. They show the detachment in England, then moved to a staging area and embarkation, the cross channel voyage, their command post (CP) in France and associates of the French Resistance.
